Looking for counselling? Have you thought about online or telephone counselling?
Both online and telephone counselling give you the opportunity to access counselling at a time and place which is convenient to you, in a confidential and supportive environment.
You have the opportunity to direct your counselling by selecting the method of communication which you feel most comfortable with. You choose the time, the place, and the pace of your counselling to suit your own individual needs.
How it works
Online/Webcam counselling gives you the benefit of being able to visually see me, as you would in face to face counselling. Using an agreed platform, we will agree to meet at a time which has previously been agreed (either through email, or if your prefer, over the telephone). Sessions are 50 minutes in length.
Telephone counselling can be accessed via an ordinary telephone or through an agreed platform, using computer audio. An advantage of counselling by telephone is that I am able to pick up on non-verbal communication that is carried in your tone of voice, or through the pace of your speech. However, you need to bear in mind that you will need a private room where you are not being overheard. Sessions are 50 minutes in length
What sort of issues can I contact you about?
Both Online and telephone counselling may be able to help with a wide range of issues, including loneliness, chronic illness, disability, bereavement and many more.
Not all types of issues can be resolved through these mediums and I will advise you if I feel face to face counselling, or some other form of support might be more suitable for you. Where I consider that online counselling would not be the most suitable means of support, I will make every effort to assist you in a referral to a suitable alternative source of support.
I am not able to provide either online or telephone counselling to any person who is under the age of 18. If this applies to you, I can help with information regarding other agencies providing face to face or online counselling which is specifically directed to a younger age group.
How do I get started?
Initially, you can contact me by completing the message form below, or by telephoning me on 075 6686 9043, and I will endeavour to reply to you as soon as possible to answer any questions and/or arrange a free initial consultation, which can take place either over the telephone or online, whichever medium you prefer. This is not a counselling session, but more of an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little, for you to ask any questions or talk about any concerns you might have regarding counselling and for us both to assess whether we feel counselling sessions would be of benefit to you. I look forward to hearing from you.
