FAQs

How do I decide whether counselling can help me?
Initially, I offer an initial telephone introduction of up to 15 -minutes and there is no charge for this. It will give you the opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling and some idea of how I work; and for you to ask any questions. However, this is not a counselling session.

How many sessions will I need?
Every client is different. I offer short-term, longer-term term or even single-session therapy. Sessions are open-ended, allowing us to explore the things that arrive naturally. Being open-ended does not mean sessions just drift on. I will conduct regular reviews with the client’s goals in mind.

How long is each session? 50 minutes

What about confidentiality?
Confidentiality is central to counselling, so anything we discuss will be confidential, however there are some ethical and legal limitations to this, which I will explain when we meet for the introductory session.

How much do you charge?
Initial telephone introduction (up to 15 minutes) – free of charge
Counselling Sessions (50 minutes) – £50 (some concessions available)

Payment can be made via bank transfer (in advance of the appointment) or by card payment at the start of the session.

I hope this section has helped answer any questions you may have about how counselling sessions work. If you have any further questions or concerns, then please contact me, I am happy to answer any questions.
